Details: Ship Fender Introduction:
Pneumatic fenders is a leading anti-collision devices for marine application in the world today. This compressed air rubber fender is used as a protective medium. Therefore, pneumatic rubber fenders serves as a protective medium against collision when ship-to-ship contact (STS) and ship-to-berthing (STB). Pneumatic fenders has the advantages of massive energy absorption with low unit surface pressure acted upon the ship. So pneumatic fenders has become an ideal ship protection medium used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, large docks, harbor and wharfs.
Pneumatic fenders are ideal for permanent and semi-permanent port applications wherethere is a solid faced quay structure or suitable supporting frame, ie. Ideal in the situations where a fixed fender is not application such as to ship-to-ship (STS) operations off share and some ship-to-wharf (STW) operations and suitable for the use at a quay where the tidal range is large. Since pneumatic fenders are very easy to install, they can quickly be reployed to wherever they are needed. This is fenders are also useful as supplementary protection and for special vessels when the permanent fixed fenders may be unsuitable. Pneumatic fenders are available in a range of diameters and pressure ratings to provide the required energy. The large diameter maintains safe clearance between hulls and structures. Their low reactions and large contact area make them ideal for soft vessels. Such as bulk carries, tanker and aluminum fast ferries.
Pneumatic fenders have any advantages including:
1 Easy and fast to deploy.
2 Very low reaction and hull pressure.
3 Performance adjustable by varying initial pressure.
4 Suitable for areas with large or small tides.
5 Maintains large clearances between hull and structure.
6 Optional chain-tyre nets for heavy duty applications.
7 Low maintenance

Application:
Pneumatic fenders are suitable for many applications including:
1 Tankers, Gas Carriers and Bulk Cargo Ships.
2 Fast ferries and aluminum hulled vessels.
3 Temporary of permanent installations.
4 Rapid response and emergency fendering.
5 As stand-off fenders to realign ships with shore facilities.
